Don't cheap out if you ever replace the fan clutch either (or elsewhere for that matter). I put a uro-parts in that came with the car and it didn't let the fan slip until at least 4k RPM, with a gentle takeoff. I'm amazed it didn't shoot any blades off. My fan sat outside for a month or two so I'll probably never reinstall it.
Hi Newbimmerguy12, how long ago did this happen? In 2017 we received reports of the clutch not releasing quickly enough, creating a loud "turbine" roar. We made changes on the production line to correct this, and as of mid-2018 these clutches match the OEM clutch RPM curve within 10%. There shouldn't be any old stock left on the shelves at retailers by now.
If anyone received one of the noisy fan clutches and had issues with it, please PM us or email "sales at uro parts dot com" with a copy of your order confirmation (showing date, retailer, order number) and we'll be happy to send you a warranty replacement.

Nice support.
You can’t have everything. Where would you put it?
Yeah, I know Uro has had their problems, but they could be a real resource when parts for these cars become more and more unavailable. They even try to improve on the factory stuff sometimes. Maybe it doesn't necessarily work out, but hopefully they will keep improving and supporting our cars.
