Megasquirt on my S38B36 and I have a question

    Hello

I will also make a megasquirt on my S38B36 and I have a question

    I remove the distribution
    Buy Camshaft Sensor for S38B38.
    Cover B38
    Rotor nr 20 B38
and that's all, or do I need anything else for the cam shaft sensor on the B36 ??

I guess I have to buy
Shaft nr 9 from B36 exchange for Drive flange nr 10 and rotor nr 20 from B38??? and Sprocket exhaust???
    S38B38.jpg

    Thank you for your response

I'd chat to a mechanic on that one Timmy.

Engine will be coming home over the next week or two and placed into the 633. Safest place to store the engine. We'll then look at next steps and whether or not we keep the megasquirt. Plenty of people run them. Mayhaps the engine tuners simply don't want to bother fiddling and would prefer plug and play.

That said, the E3 race car is a dog on public roads. Heavy on the street with no power steering and it feels like a truck. But then I took her for a quick spin on the highway, wow, like a fricking rocket. Surges away faster than my M140i. No it does not surge, it launches like it was fired from a slingshot, becomes light, easy to turn and dances like a touch football player doing a riverdance. It rides like my Renault Megane RS265 did. On normal residential streets at 2000 to 2500 rpm it simply is not happy. Between 4000 and 7200 rpm it's like a lion taking on a pack of hyenas post taking a few cranky pills and a couple of red bulls.

I'll track it in January. Too busy with work this close to Xmas.

The electrician man will upgrade S38B36 with VEMS electronics and I have to buy parts before

If I remove the distributor cap from B36 and upgrade with the B38 cam sensor, I just buy OEM B38 rotor, cam sensor, cover, drive flange and that's it all?? and
    Sprocket exhaust??

    Thanks

Oh. As I'm not an engine builder I wouldn't know. you would need to discuss this with someone with far more knowledge than me. Sorry.

    Bloody hell TimiMB
Might want to start your own thread if you have questions. This poor bugger has just told us about what a hard go he’s having and your firing questions at him off the thread topic!!
Shipper, hang in there big fella. I have loved your thread and I’ve just driven my 76 911 that I’ve converted to Efi itbs with mega squirt. This was a year of big mistakes and learning but to hear the induction sound through the Adelaide hills tonight made it all worth it!
enjoy Christmas and reassess next year
    cheers mate

I think Shipper's last thing he wants to think of right now is his engine...

I can just buy distribution covers and sensor, but then looks like M30 engine

I think that this is part of the B38 engine

    Thanks anyway

@TimiMB - I made this your very own thread. Hopefully you'll be able to get some better visibility (and help).

I would recognize that throttle position sensor anywhere (yes, from S38B36). I have not seen the other pieces on my car (E34 M5), but that doesn't mean they aren't there.

    '84 Euro 635CSi Polaris/Pacific, for sale (maybe)
