E38 2001 M Sport

I am wondering what to do with my 2001 740i M Sport..(125,000 miles). It is a beautiful car in a kind of two tone grey .... It has been kept in a garage near Monte Bianco in Italy for the last four years. I could not bring myself to 'lose' it. The timing chain needs replacing (the guides broke up) and now I need to move it, they want their garage back. Should I rebuild the engine (I have found a place to have this done, in my own time, as funds are in short supply!!) or scrap the car?
I know what you will say, but I just need to hear it! I guess I need moral support!
I spoke with members of the community when she broke down, 4 years ago, and you were all so helpful, but could not afford to repair it at the time. Thanks.

Either keep it and rebuild in your own time, or sell it to someone who will. If it's just the TCG plus whatever other normal maintenance needs to be done, don't scrap it!!!

I am sure there is a forum member who would love a trip to Italy to fix your timing guides... Pay for flight room and board and labor have tools available...
