I remember when it was on sale. Amazing find and good information on the wing. I'm currently wingless and I'm getting more and more serious about getting one...
Yawn... Another 2k in the bucket!

Awesome!! I do remember the car on craigslist and was wondering what happened to it. Glad to see the car has made its way into the right hands! Please, please keep the thread updated, not like some other threads.
Damn, that thing looks pristine.

Great find and great story! What's the lastest with the car? Any new pics you can share now that you've got it home? Curious what the interior looks like?
And his son Chase Elliott...
No matter where you go, there you are...
Great story. Keep the pictures coming. And thanks for bringing it back from the mothball fleet.
Incredible, I love stories like this. Great catch, Maxxfish!

This is going to be a great thread. Cant wait to watch it develop!
Forgive my ignorance, did some googling and couldn't find much. What is a Stickley S52 and is it "plug and play" with a normal US E36 M3? I'm sure it's over my budget but I could use a new engine so I'm curious...
As in Chuck Stickley Motorsports.. a legendary S50 engine builder. In 2014 I heard he retired and moved to Canada. I also thought I heard he had passed away. (No idea if true, I’m sure someone will post up.)
No matter where you go, there you are...
Yes, Chuck was the magic man with S5X engines. Yes, he's out of the game now, and in Canada, but as far as I know he's still alive. Need to get my rear end in gear and start working on this car!
Me too...lol I've got the entire front subframe hanging... Replacing the oil pan gasket, steering rack, and motor mounts.
No matter where you go, there you are...
So how much are you selling the S52 for? And can it run on 93 octane?

I'm late to the game, but this is awesome. Thread needs some updates (pics).

I remember seeing this car in Philadelphia craigslist. Great story can’t wait to see it finished.
