    1998 328i heater control valve replacement

    Seems you can disconnect two hoses from the firewall that go to the
    two top hoses on the HCV

    Then you have access to the bottom hose and can remove it easier.

    Anyone try this ?

    How about putting it back ?

    Best to remove the intake...it is not very difficult, there are countless DIY on doing so and will help you see how everything is connected. Once you've done it once, you can do it much faster....take your time, ask questions. Trust me, you don't want to try to remove that water valve with the intake still on
