Anyone Replaced Headliner in E34 Touring / Wagon

Hello: Sorry to bother your guys. I have tried searching here and other sites I belong to. My dual direction / panoramic sun roof works perfectly but the headliner is starting to go in a few areas. Has anyone removed the multiple panels - had them upholstered and reinstalled? Are there any diagrams or step by step instructions? These are great great cars and I am wanting to make this one great again. Thank you in advance for your consideration and support.

Do a Search for others' results. The holey wagons' headliner pieces are mostly held in by obvious things - grabhandles, rectangular weatherstripping, speaker grills, sunvisors, et al - but there may be a clip or two. I don't know for sure because I have a one-piece (hardtop, no sunroof) but I recall no gotchas when I pulled my previous car's panels 8 years ago.

You have a vast choice of materials. I've used everything from solid leather (chopped up an old couch) to fake suede to actual stretchy headliner material. Loctite Heavy Duty Headliner Adhesive was the only glue that held the heavier and less-stretchy fabrics - for context, 3M regular and Heavy Duty failed, as did others - but for normal headliner cloth you can get away with lesser glues.

the headliner on a touring with sunroofs is pretty easy. You start in the rear, and work forward. The parts are reasonably small and manageable. There is a thread here that documents it pretty well, i think the member's name was Shapeshifter , if you run a search.

I did my touring a couple of years ago in black. Wasn't all that hard, mostly held in with small items like the grab handles.

My car was totaled a few weeks ago and I will be parting it out at soon as I reach a settlement agreement with the insurance company.
If you have any interest in the headliner(or other parts).

Do you by chance have the Touring specific rear seat belt covers in black? The ones that go around the receptacles in the center of the bench.

I have to say that the sunroof link in this thread is great. The wording is convoluted and in BMW ease but if you read it a few times it made it very easy to get out the headliner pieces. Thanks!
