Hey all,
I've done a bit of searching here (bimmerforums) and research in general on suspension options for the F10 5 series (specifically looking for options for my '14 m-sport 535), in this suspension forum and also the 5 series forum, but not finding much material to read into. I'm a bit surprised, back in the day when I had my E46 and came here, suspension talk 'was' the talk of the town with all sorts of varying builds and opinions - not so much for the F10 that I can find.
So there it is; I'm looking to do a complete shock/spring replacement, likely coilovers (adjustable would be nice) to help relieve some of the heaviness and numbness in the existing suspension (M-sport aside, putting it in sport mode doesn't seem to firm up the suspension as some suggest, as much as it firms up the steering..). I don't need it to be ungodly low (been there done that) but I do want the option to make it firmer and if it's a little lower - hey aesthetics, right?)I've seen a few options here and there - but no real 'feedback' that I can find on what people are running, and what the 'results' were of all the differing aftermarket options out there (ride feel, actual measured drop, etc, etc).
Last time I did this on my E46, I went Koni shocks for adjusting, and Bilstein springs (Pro), as mix/match was the best to do at the time. How about these days?
BC Racing coilovers any good? hows the ride?
Vogtland sport suspension kit (not coilovers) - anyone have feedback?
Vogtland coilovers?
CKS Coilovers?
KW coilovers (v1, v2, v3?)?
ST Coilovers?
Come on, I know some low F10's are on bimmerforums - someone lay a link on me to read up on the topic, or their own useful insight here..
I suppose Bimmerforums isn't what it used to be then - off to find an active forum for 5's and suspension..
