I'm brand new to this forum, just joined Bimmerforums. Just purchased a 2006 330ci with 54k miles, immaculate shape with only one issue with the back head rest. I have a couple questions:
1. One of the back seat head rests is separating in the middle. I cant see much inside but maybe a broken clip or something that holds both halves together. Feels like it is spring loaded together but there is a 1/4 gap due to it not snapping together. Anyone had a similar problem and if so, how did you fix it?
2. I'm sure this has been asked before but bare with me as I am new to this forum. For those of you with convertibles, I'd like to know if it is really worth it to purchase a windscreen.
Thanks
If I may congratulate you on your new car I too have ( in the last 2 weeks ) purchased a 2006 330ci convertible with 71,000 miles on her. Shes in almost perfect shape. I am actually missing the rear head rests just the "roll bar oieces are there.
I am trying to find how to upgrade to bluetooth and also sirius radio.
WOW lets make it three in a row! I purchased a 2004 330Ci convert. 3 weeks ago with 62,000 miles. She also is in excellent shape. This is my 3rd E 46, 06 M3 convert, 2004 330Ci coupe and now this one.
Today I was driving to the store and when I came out there was a small puddle of Anti freeze on the ground and the radiator icon was on on the dash. The temp gauge was normal but you could smell antifreeze. No rattling sound like a water pump. I can not see where it is leaking from. I had to replace the electronic thermostat on the 04 330ci. I will check again later after the car cools down.
Good luck with your new to you cars!
I think they look stupid (like seeing a cabriolet with the top down and the windows rolled up). I don't have one and I don't find any issue with wind or noise. If you have a female passenger with longer hair, they could see some benefit I guess. If I found someone giving one away, I wouldn't take it. And well, I'd never pay $250-$300 for one.
