    DISA Valve Gas Odor

I have a 06 X5 M54, have a CEL indicating a 1093 code bank 2 rich. I changed the O2 sensors and was going to clean the idle valve. When I pulled the DISA I noticed a very strong gas odor. Is this normal?

No, that's not normal. If you don't have any Evap system codes, I'd suspect one or more of your injectors is leaking.

That’s my only code, would it be possible to determine which injector(s) by inspecting spark plugs? There were changed maybe 200 miles ago.

No, that's not going to be a reliable method.

I'd suggest a very simple, if inaccurate, first test:
Shut off the engine, and remove the plastic center engine cover (two 10mm head bolts).
You'll notice that at the very front of the fuel rail, there is a Schrader valve (just like a tire valve, cap and all).

Wait ~20 minutes after the engine's shut off, and then use a tiny screwdriver or other tool to push the stem of the schrader valve (Shield your eyes!) Does the fuel shoot out under high pressure?

    Easy test #2:
Pull out the dipstick. Sniff. Does it smell like gas?

Testing will get more difficult after this.

This would also tend to indicate a possible leaky injector. Both of these tests are to be considered inaccurate, by the way.

A more accurate test would be to remove the fuel rail from the cylinder head, turn key to "on", but not to "start", and see whether any of the injectors start dripping.
