I was in the market for an AWD car for under $10,000 to get me through 2-3 years of driving. It can be quite snowy where I live. I thought I'd end up with something okay with super high miles. In my online search a BMW dealer had an 06 325 xi with 84k. It is a beautiful car in great condition. I talked them down about $1000 and paid $7000 for it.
Here is my question. With it being purchased from a BMW dealer and having undergone their "inspections", am I good until I notice problems or should I do some proactive maintenance on the car now? If so, what do you recommend? Thanks in advance. I love how it drives.
First you need to get a prepurchase inspection.
Seeing as you already purchased it, your best bet would be to take it to a local BMW indie shop and have them do a full inspection.
Not saying the BMW dealer did not inspect it, but that some dealers are much nicer than others. Some will sell you a car knowing it needs some work that you will come back to them for.
