Glove Box problem

I can't get my glove box to unlock and open. Any suggestions? 2006 325Ci

Never mind, figured it out. Scratch that, figured out how to get it open as long as I use a screwdriver. What wears out? The inside latch or the one with the key? Lock cycles with door locks but latch won't unlock the catch. Anyone?

Check the two Phillips head screws that hold the lock in place. They are notorious for coming loose and causing opening issues.

Did that although mine has 2 bolts and not phillips head screws. Took it apart and checked everything, put back together and it opened a couple of times until I cycled the lock, then back to not working.
Thinking of buying the part that fits inside the lid and hoping that is the culprit.
