N62 headers on to m62tu engine

    Hi Friends,

Planning to instal headers from n62 which cost me 650$. I know it is fit on right site but people said the left site is difficult and need to do a lot of modification. Will be appreciate for advise if some one faced with instalation of n62 headers on to m62tu.

    $650, really. WHere.
Got a pic of the header for the other side?
I used M5 headers, the only thing I needed to do was lift the engine up about 1/4" so one of the tubes wouldn't rub on the flex coupling part on the steering shaft during hard right turn under full power.

Yes bro, 650$ here in Turkmenistan. Passenger site is ok, no problem. Tommorow will do another picture.
So, you picked up engine and left it 1/4" above original place?

    But I used stainless washers.
Rob would have used old rusty washers to save 50 cents!

That looks good, now the real question is how well will they fit when the engine is in the car.
    Did you buy them yet?

Not yet, it is a local seller who gave it to me to try. I will buy if i 100% sure if it is fit to my car. How shal i try it? Shal i remove my engine with gear and then instal and try to put engine back in place? As i know with no removing engine i would not be able to instal it. Is not it?

You can remove front subframe to test-install

You don't need to remove the subframe, just unbolt the engine (tranny can stay attached), jack it up 3-4" then lower the subframe as much as possible. You'll need to unbolt the steering box too.

Impossible to instal, passenger site is ok. Driver site has many abstractions. Main is steering actuator.
