    Illinois emissions on engine swaps???

I'm moving to Chicago soon and trying to understand how strict emissions laws are in Lake and Cook counties. I've got a m30 swapped e30 and a LS swapped e36. Will I be able to register and drive these cars there?

    Thanks for you help!

The E30 is exempt. Only OBDII and later need testing.
The '99 will get whistled in.
No sniffers or inspection in Ill, only interrogation of the DME. If MIL is off and monitors ready your are good to go. I believe 2 monitors not ready is allowed, perhaps specific ones.
