    Helpp Leaking Convertible

    Hello,

    I have BMW E88 I120 ,Model 2009.
I have leaking water from the fabric of a roof over the corner on the right side of the rear window and on the side next to the driver.
Is there any solution to put something in for fixing it? I tried spray of a waterproof and it did not help.

Hello and welcome to the forum! You may have to replace or fix the seal that is causing it to leak.

If it is leaking from the canvas then you have not waterproofed it sufficiently. What did you use? 303 is a pretty good waterproofing product so is Raggtop which makes a whole kit. My experience with the cloth tops is that unless you see it coming through the cloth it is the seal. BMW uses rubber not synthetic seals and they shrink over time. Verify it is the cloth and if so waterproof it a couple times according to the directions. Most state once the top is clean you can spray the sealer on and recoat once dry within the hour otherwise the next day. Every leak I ever had in my convertible BMWs was from the seal shrinking...
