Help 2002 745i Waterpump question

I am needing to order a new water pump for a 2002 745i. while researching I have came across 2 different types of pump one for water cooled alternators and one that isn't water cooled what is the easiest way of telling if alternator is water cooled or not. Sorry if this is a repeat of another thread I didn't notice one. I have never dealt with a water cooled alt. before so this is new to me. Thanks in advanced for any clarification.

I think the 2002 had a water cooled alternator, but I can't be certain. Maybe if you go to realOEM.com with the last seven of your VIN number it will be able to decode the options better. If you look down at your alternator, the water cooled unit will be completely sealed, and just look like a big metal cylinder, whereas the air cooled alternator will have vents all over it, allowing you to see inside of it.
