Up for sale is my 2004 330i ZHP. This is a fully streetable DE car. The car has been completely overhauled mechanically and is probably one of the most sound high-mileage E46s out there. The motor was replaced after the original engine developed a slight rod knock at the track, and I decided to purchase a lower-mileage motor and overhaul it to ensure that it would be reliable at the track, given how good the rest of the car already was.


My plans for next season had been to add a half cage and Recaro race seats w/ harnesses, but I no longer have room to store this car indoors. The car was built to be and would be perfect for someone who needs a capable and reliable novice-level DE car, and everything that was completed was done to strike the near-impossible balance between daily use and track duty. Nearly every BMWCCA instructor I have had has commented on how well set up this car is. The car will also come with the OE roof rack, OE car cover, as well as the OE ZHP wheels w/ Pilot Super Sport tires in addition to the Apex Wheels w/ Pilot Sport 4S tires.


This build and project mean a lot to me. My first BMW and favorite car for several years when I graduated from college was an Imola Red ZHP that I had to sell when I went back to school to change fields. I had always dreamed of finding another to race, and I had a ton of fun restoring and building this car with one of my best friends. But rather than let this car sit without a garage spot and not see track duty anymore, I think it makes more sense to pass it on to someone who will continue to use it for the purpose I had built it for.

* The car runs and drives perfectly.
* The suspension setup is absolutely amazing, and can be counted upon in track use due to the chassis reinforcements.
* The car pulls hard and burns ZERO oil
* The interior is in great shape for the age
* The exterior is presentable
* The motor has about 121k miles on it now, and has been heavily overhauled
* The car performs very well at the track, with neutral handling and strong acceleration for a non-M E46
* This car will pass ANY state emissions test or inspection, and has no modifications to affect emissions systems
* The motor has never been mechanically over-revved, and the car has never gone off the tarmac at the track.

• 10.5.2018 - Replaced brake master cylinder assembly w/ reservoir and clutch reservoir hose.
• 10.5.2018 - Replaced brake booster unit.
• 10.5.2018 - Performed compete DSC brake bleeding procedure first with BMW fluid then full fluid replacement with Castrol SRF fluid for brake and clutch system. Performed road test and bed in procedure and rechecked for proper braking system function.

So as you can see, the car has had a TON of work done, and has a fantastic suspension setup w/ some mild power mods. I have the supporting invoices from the shop that did all of the work, provided upon request.


---The Bad---
* It does have a couple of the common E46 rust spots (I have ground down the rust in these areas, prepped with rust eater, primed, and painted. See album for pics)
