I run 11:1 compression and 30+ lbs of boost on E85. Put the M54b30 pistons in it with a stock head gasket. A GT35r with a T3 .063 would be okay for what you want. A GT45 is ridiculously too big. Assuming we are talking about actual garrett turbos and not ebay china ones.

That's over 2 bar! Impressive with CR higher then on a stock engine!
    .63 would spool fastest, right?
I know that E85 won't knock, but what about EGT? Is it also lower with E85 (don't want to melt the bloody thing)?

It will knock if its lean enough or the timing is wrong but it is very forgiving, especially at the boost levels your talking about.

    Compered to .84? I mean - lower a/r = lower spool?
The E85 brings me back to my original plan. First make a stroker, then Turbo it... How would a Stoker perform on the E85?

yes, lower AR means faster spool. Beware of comparing specs and results on china turbos. Garrett GT35r does not = ebay GT35. I wouldn't bother with converting to E85 until you put the turbo on it, but if you want to get that out of the way go ahead.

Well, as I can turbo o on a stock CR of M54B30 pistons, I can follow my original plan:
    1. Do the chassis, brakes etc. and change ECU to standalone,
    2. Build a stroker,
    3. Turbo it.
As each step requires remapping I was wondering if there are any benefits of E85 on a NA engine. I guess you could go with more aggressive timings, right?

Thanks, so that actually looks like 1-2 mm - guess it's more work to put it together and check if it's ok?

It’s hard to tell in the picture but it’s actually probably double that. I just installed the crank in with old main bearings and one rod/piston without rings to check the clearance.

BTW, is there anything I need to replace specifically for E85 on E36? Like fuel lines, some specific fuel pump? I know that injectors need to be bigger then for pump 98 and that alloys cells don't like it...
