Request: how to remove touring rear seat back

Would anyone like to share with me a somewhat detailed "how to" on removing the folding rear seat back on a touring?

I tried pulling up on the side bolster, but it didn't budge. In fact, I heard it rip a bit...

I'm guessing the bolster covers some nuts/bolts that need to be removed for the seat back, but without getting the bolster off I'm kinda stuck.

What an I missing my dudes?

    Thanks in advance.

Its been a LONG time since ive messed with mine, but curious what your trying to accomplish? Remove the seat bottom and sneak a look at the bottom of the side bolsters. I think theres a stud there with a plastic 10mm nut on it. The pop the top seat belt trim up. I think it had a screw under the side trim, so start at the back with the trim removal. Couple screws, couple pull clips. Once thats removed, you can pull the bottom of the bolster out and then up. I believe the top is held in with a tab in slot. Removing the actual seat backs is pretty easy as well. At the 60/40 split, theres a bracket at the bottom. Remove the clips, slide them sideways, and out they come. They are a lot heavier than you think theyll be.

    Thanks Alex,
I'll look at that tonight. I'm removing them to have them recovered in Black.

The seatbacks are held down in the center by a bracket and a 18mm (IIRC) bolt. The side bolsters have a hook on the bottom and a straight snap/clip near the top. Remove the seatbelt trim, pry the bolster forward with your hand, and sneak a long prybar until you hit the snap/clip. The clip is sturdy metal, no plastic.

Thank you. I still haven't gotten to this yet, but I sure do appreciate the tip. I'll dig in again this coming weekend.
