Greetings Folks:

As the title reads, I’m looking for insight on the redesigned 2019 X5 xDrive40i. I understand the engine is the same as the 2018, but there are several interior and a few exterior changes. The last X5 I owned was a 2006 4.4. I’ve been in Toyota/Lexus SUV’s since then (a 100 series Land Cruiser, a GX460 and GX470, and now a Sequoia). I’m considering the new X5 because I don’t go off road much at all anymore and do quite a bit of highway driving. So, road performance and better gas mileage have moved back to the forefront.

I’d appreciate any and all input / education I can get on the X5. What about the 2018 series as compared to the 2019? There’s a larger rebate in those. Trouble areas? Extended warranties worth it? Keys to negotiation of a great deal with BMW Dealerships different than doing so at Toyota / Lexus? Things BMW is more likely to “throw in” to seal a deal? Thanks in advance!
