Question Help/Advice required for souring parts for E30 325i Touring

    Hi,

Recently purchased a 1990 E30 325i Touring and there are few things I need to do to get this lil beauty right and would appreciate any help advice please. Very new to forum.

Firstly I am trying to source and find out the exact part for the roof moulding on the left side of the car (starting from the bottom of the front window) and where to get this. Pic won't attach so below is the link to image:

    http://cloud1.zoolz.co.uk/s-RQcAZWuM

I'm also trying to source an electric motor for the sunroof. Will I get this in a scrap yard or used part online? I'm living in Dublin, Ireland. Is there any 'one stop shop' online for all BMW E30 parts?

    Thanks in advance,

    Baz.

Use the VIN and search here for the part numbers http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog
    For example
    Electr. sliding-lifting roof transmission 1874871 54 12 1 874 871 http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E3...oof_operation/
then do a google search without space in between the numbers = 54121874871
That is still available new from the BMW dealer, used in E30, E28, E23, but pretty expensive, > EURO 600
Maybe a member has a used one, use the classfides section of the E30 forum https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/f...ts-Classifieds

You need to look up the part numbers. I use Realoem. Go to realoem to find your car and the part. Get the part number then google it. You may want to check salvage yards, what do you have in Ireland? Here is the link to Realoem.http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select?product=P&archive=1&series=E30&body=tou&mod el=325i&market=EUR&prod=19900700&engine=M20&steeri ng=L&trans=M

Sorry for the late reply. I didnt get any notifications of a response to my message.

Thanks @shogun @aaverhelst for your response and help. There is no real options to source parts in Ireland for classics unfortunately...
I will try realoem.com and also the Bimmerforums classifieds.

Thanks. MSSSERVICES - What I am having the most difficulty with is actually ensuing that I order the right part! Its not as easy as I thought with the images and graphs.... Its the left side from front windscreen to rear window roof mould that I want (in black) Not sure if I need to 2-3 parts or just the one part...

    Cheers,

    Barry.

Thanks again. I will give them a call and see if I can get the part. Being in Europe, surely there is a German site that I can order from rather than through the US.

I'd join an Irish E30 forum for parts availability. http://www.e30owners.com/forums/index.php for example. No idea if there are more, but this one looks like it has some traffic. Just clicked the first hit while googling for it, but look around.
I use Dutch E30 forums for parts, and bimmerforums in case I need info or have questions.

Thanks for the advice. Going to have a look at that now and see if there is an Irish E30 community.
