Though I would start a poll at to who has the best Supercharger Bracket; Design, strength, and for big boost, Etc.
There’s only one company that does that for the S52; RMS.
The newer style RMS, not the older Dinan copy.

Vf offers the least chance of belt issues. Add an intercooler setup, and a smaller pulley you have a nice setup.

Yes. Not apples to apples to i6, but I modded my pulley set ups on my VF 540. Running 16 psi on only a 6 rib belt with no issues. Been running it for years now. Pulley wrap is the key to get the traction.

post 36 starts dets. w/a intercooler added later in thread.
Not sure of the limitations on with the i6 kits, but some clever thinking should be able to get a better pulley set up.

I like the belt wrap mod. Maybe there is space to do that on the E36. But does the M62 have a bigger crank pulley than the S52?
Thanks!
M62 VF crank pulley is 6" dia. A tad bigger than the i6

VF S52 crank pulley is the stock accessory drive pulley and is more like 5”. Big difference. The old RMS stage 2 S52 extended dedicated drive crank pulleys were 6.0”
Ok. But 8 vs 6 cyl.

That's certainly an S52/M52 setup__and Very Impressive!
In the poll, I clicked other, but that's just because I'm a much bigger fan of the positive displacement twinscrew compressors. Sourced 2nd-hand, either the Active Autoworks or Eurosport setups turn up from time to time (I've done several 2nd, 3rd generation swaps). Unfortunately, both brands combined totaled less than sixty (<60) units ever on the market.
