Today i took my bmw to get an oil change at sears (Bad Idea) after them telling me that my car is ready to be picked up. I paid and got into my car turned it on and the it went straight to limp mode and said something about the drive train and then the no oil message came on. The car was idling very weird and has never done that before. Then all the sudden the car turned off and wouldn't start back up. I went into the store to talk to the manager. They went out to try to turn on the car but it wouldnt start. They didnt know what was going on. So then they realized that they forgot to add the oil to the my car. they tried to fill it up but it wouldn't start they called bmw and they told them that they needed to tow the car out to the bmw shop.
I am so worried that they messed up my engine they said that they didnt drive it long but thats not a very good sign no oil and it cant start and they forgot to add it.
What should i do? Please help sears rented me a car for the mean time and they did a claim but now i dont have my car.
Ask who their liability insurer is and file a claim. You may want to contact your own insurer and make a damages claim. Without any internal inspection, assume you were metal on metal and seized things, shaved things, and grinded bearings like they should never be. Tell them they just bought a new car, yours. Make sure you get replacement value.

Yea Sears made a claim through their insurance. I will contact my insurance as well. Thank You
your engine is fubar ... accept nothing less than replacement cost of your vehicle or at least a full new rebuild (by bmw) on the engine
... forty-three years of driving before I get behind the wheel of a BMW .... and I am thinking, "why did it take me so long?"
... and then after another 4 years I can't believe that I have two of them !!
Looks like they will be fixing your car, sears!!!?
I went to Bmw yesterday and they have not looked at my Bmw yet but they said that it’s not good at all.
