Both corner lights blink together and stay on together. There are two bulbs for the turn signal in this car. A parking light/steady-on does not exist.
Anyway, I wired it via an open slot in the fuse box (littelfuse add a circuit), added a switch, insulated stuff and heat shrank everything. I tested the setup and everything works great! Then I go to mount the actual lights and they don't fit physically. All the tolerances are off. It's a joke. I spent hours on this whole thing and they don't even fit.
I'm talking to the company I bought them from (ProTuningLab) right now for refund/replacement. I don't know which route to take. I love how these look but if they can't even get something like fitment tolerances correct, then I'm not sure if they'll hold up to weather changes and the like. Granted, I live in San Francisco so the weather is never super cold or super hot. Part of me wants to just get a refund and buy Hella headlights like these:

Have you seen these

So update: turns out that the reason why fitment was off is because my actual wheel well was bent. I bent the plastic back into place and they fit fine. The angel eyes work with my wiring system and switch, and headlights work great too. I'll post pics on Monday since I'm out of town for the weekend, but thank you for your help along the way! Just seems like my model didn't have the same auxiliary wiring as later ones.
Btw, I am running the Littelfuse add a circuit in series with the switch, and then a 4.7Ohm resistor into each halo to protect the LEDs. They're still reasonably bright and should last a while.
If I go tap into the power box at the corner of my street and connect my laptop; I'm sure it will also power up and run 'great'. However I would personally save this 'great' mod for a hot rod not my $45K vehicle. I would rather perform any aftermarket connection in such a way that would not bypass or contradict with the factory wiring harness that supplies not only power but continuous safety and electronic monitoring from the K-Bus system and automated on/off features. The headlight parking light maybe the only 'trick' you are aware of but certainly not the only method available in the Z4 to keep the connection under a full secure and automated control by the LCM. However to each his/her own. Good luck!
