My dad is a really big car fanatic and told me to get the Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers for my car, but I'm not down to drop $3000 on them when I already have performance shocks. I'm looking to make it a car that will perform well on the track but it's main purpose is for everyday driving.
Bilstein builds great shocks!
Ground Control has just what you need. With a special strut casing that I believe eliminate the need for front wheel spacers with stock wheel offset. These are based on Koni’s, with proprietary valving.
TCKline also offers a great E36 package, also with proprietary valving.

If you want to go with coilover go with ISC's from bimmerworld. They pretty much do everything more expensive coilover do, but for half the price.

Have you reached the limits of your current suspension and tire setup to justify the "upgrade"?
I've never noticed the price of PSS9's to be 3k.
They can be found for $1700 all day long, and used run 1k or under.

Side note:
I had ground controls on my previous E36, and absolutely loved them. I have PSS9's on my current M3 (bought the car with them on) and absolutely love them as well. I think Bilstein makes a better, and heavier duty shock. Just be aware that they are on the stiff side.
I have BC racing on my E30 right now as well, and zero complaints with that setup. I've also ridden in a friends E36 with BC racing coils and they are pretty firm, but honestly I expected it to be trash, but they seem to be pretty well made.
If you simply want less body roll, maybe consider doing a thicker front sway bar and progress from there.

What are your current shocks? Perhaps mate them up with a good spring, H&R OEM sports etc. Koni sports work well with those springs for an occasional track outing. For a car that is still street driven the PSS9’s are a good choice, would also look at TCKline SA’s if budget permits.

Hova,
Regarding the experience with your buddie's E36 with BC coilovers, how was the feeling with the suspension?? Anything quirky about them?? I'm looking to replace the suspension on my E36 M3 (98) that came with a set of coilovers from a company that doesn't even make them anymore (Top Speed N1 coilovers) with something a bit better. The E36 is new to me coming off a modded 09 135i that a bus driver on base totalled before I could bring it back. Trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks.
Nick
