    PASSANGER window issue!!!!

    2005 z4 i2.5 here...

Passanger side window operates normally with the switch on the passanger side as it opens and closes fully.

BUT! The switch that controls the passanger window ON THE DRIVER SIDE will only close the passanger window and not open the damn window...

Its weird because the window closes whether I pull up or down the switch...passanger window closes either way....is something wrong with the wiring?

    Please help!

99% the driver side switch is malfunctioning. There is probably fluid or moisture buildup or spillage that got under the pad (between the pad and electronic board buttons). I would open up the switch and give a thourough clean with alcohol and let it dry completely before putting it back together.

That is also my thought, especially if you use the cup holder as they are right above the window switch

    What tekoo said...
My mirror switch was not working properly and I popped the entire switch out of door, tore it all apart and cleaned everything with CRC cleaner and a q-tip.
    Worked like a charm afterwards.

    Perform an attempt at cleaning,
if not successful or not an option - replace drivers side master switch.

Here's the secret solution: The switch works properly only when you spell the word passenger correctly.

    PassEnger. You happy?

As for others who were ACTUALLY helpful, thank you so much!! Spraying the button with some electric CRC fixed the issue! Didn't even have to disassemble anything! Thanks!!
