Hey all, new to the Bimmer world. Usually a Subaru guy, but I got a project at hand that I want to attempt to finish. Long story short, my lady's father passed away and was in process of a Big Blower Supercharged build in his daughter's BMW 330xi. I was wondering for this kind of build how would the fuel management work? Had anyone converted to a carburetor system in their Bimmer? I wanted to stick with this blower supercharge build as these were his wishes. He basically had everything planned out and mapped out besides the fuel system. The motor is already built and put together. Only thing needed is blower, cooling system, carburetor, and fuel. This crazy guy even fabricated and made a custom intake bracket for the blower so it sits on top of the block. Ill upload a few pics. But thanks in advance to anyone who has some positive input! Thanks!!

That’s interesting. It’s going to need electronic controls to run the ignition system since there are no provisions for a fuel system. Is there any provisions for fuel injectors in the manifold?
That will be more challenging to carburetor then it will be to stay full EFI. Dont forget that along with spark you also need to control those cams
You can get a Holley fuel injection set up that looks like a carb and should bolt right up, then you need an aftermarket ECU to run it all.
Sounds good. I’ll get in contact and look up Holley.

I was actually looking around the garage for any more parts. I saw a couple of fabricated adapters. I’ll be taking a look if any of those are related to fuel.
That is a crazy project!
just looked up the Holley efi fuel system. Thing looks perfect and easy to drop in in place of a carb. Comes with the electrical stuff needed for tuning as well. Thanks for that!

Yeah, definitely a timely and a one of a kind build. That man always loved his old school muscle
WTF. lol.
I would never have believed it if not for the pictures. Where's the water pump? Going to run an external electric pump or something?
