Thinking of buying a 07 530Xit

Thinking of getting back into a BMW and take a break from Audi's. Last 7 German cars were all audi's, S4's and Allroads, with the 2.7T. I like the Xit's. Not scared to do some work, but looking to stay away from the 535 and the turbos. I have had a few too many engine pulls from the audi's with mantenance and upgrades.

What specifically should I be looking for on an 07 with 137K on it, Automatic trans.

I am told the Navigation/radio has an issue. Guessing it might be the CCC? That seems to be a pretty straight forward, remove, send out for repair and re-install, or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any advise. Going to check it out tomorrow.

Get a prepurchase inspection, get service records, get the vin to see if it has all the options that are advertised if has nav issues then see how much the new ccc is and deduct it from the price, don't believe it's as easy as you make it sound. Remember your buying the car. What to look for valve cover, oil filter stand, oil pan gasket repair. Electric water pump replacement.

Turns out it is a 2006, sun faded roof, and LOTS OF issues. 4x4 not working, parking sensors, rear power gate, Air suspension issue, Nav problems and more.

Well found the issue with the Nav system, parking sensors, Rear door lift, and Air ride. Hard to tell but they were soaked lifted them up and water was POURING out. About 2" of water below the connectors under the spare tire. Passing on this one. about $2K in sensors (new)

Will be looking at a 2006 530XIT with 154K in the next day or so and a lot better maintenance records. No sport package though which I really wanted.
