For no particular reason, I was looking into the Chevy/Lotus LT5 V-8 again and found it weighs about 632lbs and puts out about 380 bhp. I wonder how that compares to the weight of an S54 at 315 bhp (IIRC).
Any idea?

Internet engine weights are the worst, you never know what they included for accessories, wiring, exhaust, flywheel/flexplate, etc. Those things alone can easily account for 150lbs, so comparing two stated engine weights without seeing a picture of the engine on a scale doesn't do you any good.
