I'm getting the old gal, '95 740i, out for a spin in the countryside. The car is spit polish clean, tires pumped up, oil checked, and some great cassettes and cd's ready to listen to on the journey. Going along through Ohio along hwy 50, then up to 550, then down to the river to stay for the night. My bride is going too, which is only right, since this is not a car club event, in which case I would bring along a mix of spirits of two, and not her. Next day, stay along the river for a good barge or two, some great fall foilage, a good cold beer, then back up the old US 52 up home. Man, it's nice being retired.
Lets get the party started before it's my bedtime.
Sounds like a nice trip, do enjoy.

Have a nice trip. Nothing like a full tank of gas and a road trip.

A great 2 days on wonderful roads. Nothing like the Ohio Senic Byway along the river. Stayed in Marietta Ohio at a great old hotel on the river. Fall colors were not peaking but nice. 750 miles in two days was too much. US52 is one great road. Car drove like a champ never missing a beat. Enjoy the pics.

A few more. Something you don't see every day, a phone booth with a real old rotary phone. We didn't have any coin to make a call, oh well.

I love this. I'm from Australia so big road trips are a staple of growing up here... Seeing your little adventure just brings me all sorts of wonderful nostalgia. I hope some day too to take the E38 on a big road trip 750 miles on the first leg hey?
You couldn't stop at 740 miles, you just HAD to go that extra 10 miles didn't you!! Bloody V12 envy
