My Z3 has been on blocks for a couple years needing some work. I put in a new battery and all systems go, except, neither the drivers/passenger windows will work. The fuse is good, I changed it out anyway but same nothing. I read there is another possibility that the 'Comfort Relay', which appears affects both windows which makes sense. However, I have no idea where this relay is. I found 1 blue relay under the dash on the left side. When I pulled it, the number matched a high beam relay but what I can find online in images this should be the relay. is it possible the previous owner put in the wrong part as the part number is only 1 digit different. Just a thought. Any help would be appreciated, or guidance if there is another possible reason both windows stopped working. Thank you.

The comfort relay was used with the ZKE II *only*. You have a ZKE IV. Step 1 is to plug in a scanner and see what errors are in the ZKE.

Thank you for the reply. The 2 windows simultaneously stopped working. Last I worked on it, both worked I just needed a new window regulator for the drivers side, which is what I am trying to put in but can't lower the window to do so. Any other options as to why they both are not working?

Is the computer alive?Step 1 is to plug in a scanner and see what errors are in the ZKE.
Is it awake?
Are there any relevant codes?
Can it see the window switches open and close?
From sitting so long, there is a good chance it is in "Transport" mode. AKA not awake. Only a scanner will answer that question.
