Hi all,
I just replaced my filler tube for my washer reservoir on my '03 E39 540. The problem i have is that the tube is held tight to the frame in the wheel well with two circular clips that go around the tube, and then have 2 small "nubs" that come together and are pushed into a small hole. My two clips have broken, and I cannot find them anywhere on any parts explosions. Does anyone happen to know what these clips are, and what the part number is?
Thanks much!

A suggestion: reinforce the exposed area of the tube with large (1.5") heat shrink tubing. That will provide some protection from gravel and abrasion, and costs much less than the $50 for a new tube.
I haven't found a gentle way to remove the old tube from the tank. Collapsing the end of the old tube seems to be the best approach, rather than risking damage to the tank.
Thanks for the suggestion. I too decided to colapse the old tube. I didnt want to try ripping it out of the tank. I will give the heat shrink a try, as I dont feel like doing this again.
