I'm having the same problem that's been trending for a while now is. I was wondering if anybody figure the problem out with that trans malfunction fault.
I have a 04 bmw 525i, I've changed the crank shaft sensor. I bought a neutral safety switch because I purchased a code reader. To see if it could tell me the problem. And that's what it stated my neutral safety switch was fault.
I been having the hardest time locating where it is. No luck finding it. Unless the parr I have is the wrong one? Whenever I drive a distance and return. Or put the car in park thats when my car goes in to fault. And when i turn the car of it want start fir at least a half hour unless I discount the battery for a minute. Anybody had any luck fixing the problem?
