E60 545i idles at 1000rpm

Hey I’m wondering if there is someone who can help me. Maf sensor was bought new (Bosch) and new spark plugs and new ignition coils because of this high idle speed problem but still nothing. I would appreciate if there is someone here who can help me to find out where the problem lies. Thanks.

High idle speed is most often caused by an intake system air leak. If the engine gets unmetered air, the computer will feed fuel to match.

I'd highly recommend a professional smoke test of the intake / ccv system, and reading the codes with a BMW specific diagnostic computer.

Well gosh, Allan....I just read your other thread. Miky's been telling you for ten weeks that you need a smoke test of the intake system. You have codes and symptoms that are just screaming "intake leak".

Find a good shop with a smoke machine.
