    Where to install O2 Sensor?

My 86 325e currently doesn't have an O2 sensor, and the exhaust manifold is missing the hole to where the O2 sensor screws in. I recently got a new catalytic converter and muffler but those are also missing any mounting holes for the sensor. Where can I install it?

screws into the exhaust downpipe just past the manifold. if one isn't present you will have to add a bung to screw it in. has the exhaust on the car been replaced in the past ?

    Where to install O2 Sensor?

I believe the single O2 sensor is typically found just forward of the catalytic converter or where the factory ‘cat’ was. Needs to be in the merged exhaust stream.

No, this is a new catalytic converter. It's a really cheap Bosal Catalytic Converter(I'm on a tight budget), what exactly is a "bung" and how can I add that to my cat?

    No e30s, again :(
its the threaded thing the o2 screws into. you have to drill a hole and weld the bung over it so the o2 sensor is in the stream. I have never personally done it but always have a shop do it because I don't have a bit larger enough for the hole
    No e30s again.
