Countour seats tilted seat back switch not working?

62806D7C-3EF8-434C-8E6A-362DD7E74A19.jpgMy early E38, a 94 740i has an issue with the tilted seatback function for the contour seats (The forwards and backwards arrow switch which controls top half of the contour seat) is doing nothing on both drivers or passenger side. All other seat functions are working perfectly (Forwards/backwards, seat recline, memory functions & lumbar, headrest etc) A bit odd how this top half adjustment for the seat is not working on either side, I’d suspect a fuse but surely that would take out all the seat electrics and not just the top half of the tilted seat backs? Could someone please point me in the right direction? It’s becoming rather uncomfortable to drive stuck in Tupac’s position and wouldn’t be too safe in an accident with no support for the back of the head. I have attached a photo of the switch in talking about incase my description wasn’t clear enough. The photo is of my 98’ 750i individual

I’d look to see if the switch contacts are dirty. It’s a horizontally placed switch. Did they die at the same time?

I got the passenger side horizontal comfort switch working by messing about with it and making sure all the wires were connected however I cannot get the drivers switch working and it’s making this E38 almost undriveable, I cannot find anything about this online which is surprising as these things are 25 years old surely they have failed on other cars!

Looking at RealOEM is appears they are two different part numbers, likely because of labeling.
I suspect the connections are the same.
Position the passenger in a comfortable position and exchange the switches for an operable driver's seat.

Those switches should still be available.

I have got to the seat back and can see all the connections, but after having a play with them I’m still getting nothing from the horizilntal comfort top seatback switch I’m getting nothing, no noise and no movement. All other seat functions work perfectly apart from the tittled top half seat back. Is there a fuse that controls this function?
