    Hi new to forum matt

Hi all, just purchased a 2000 z3 2.8 39000miles for a retirement gift glad to have a forum to read up and get info and advice from experienced bmw z3 members.

noticed that i have 205-55-16 Nokian tires they look like winter tires. Not familiar with these is that the normal or what would you recommend for comfort and performance.

    thanks.. Matt

Welcome! I think this is a great forum, lots of real expertise. I'm not familiar with Nokian tires, there are some favorites and others will chime in.

    Hi Matt,
Welcome to the forum and congrats on the retirement gift! I just purchased my first Z3 as well a couple months ago and have found this forum invaluable. Lots of great information, so read as much as you can.

As far as your tires, try to go to Nokia’s web site. You should be able to match up what tire you have on the Z and get as much info as you need, read reviews, etc.

This website shows all the different OEM wheel setups used on the Z3. Is it one of those? My wheels are style 47, they're 16x7 and i think the tire is like a 225/40 or something

Hi Matt, welcome. Lots of tire options out there to read up on. Are the Nokian's mounted on steel wheels?

Well, Nokian is certainly known for its snows, although they make an all season. Have you looked up the particular model on their site? If they are snows and you're going to drive it in winter--lucky you. If not, well, there are worse problems in a new Z3.
