UPDATE: When the dealership changed his oil, they forgot to put the o-rings on the oil filter cap the bigger one and smaller one, so oil was leaking out of the cap running down all over the front of the motor
Yesterday my buddy was driving in his 2010 328xi bmw and hit a pot hole where he thought took off his whole front end....today he has an oil leak, itĀ’s all over the front of the motor including some splatter on underside of hood..... thereĀ’s a lot of oil on the front driver side belly shield and a lot around the suspension kind of like itĀ’s leaking somewhere in that area. IĀ’ll post pictures tomorrow but any help thus far would be appreciated. ThereĀ’s oil running down the center towards rear of the belly/lower center undershield and thereĀ’s a lot of oil like I said lower front driver side of the motor....I donĀ’t think itĀ’s something that happened randomly but then again I could be wrong too. IĀ’ll throw it on the lift and start taking it apart tomorrow and find out more. I just figured if someone might of had any ideas that would help me out of places to keep my eye on.

If it was a very bad pothole, could have cracked the oil pan....
