I would suggest watching the videos and looking at the Vanos-BMW instructions on disassembling the Vacuum Pot first.
Carefully try to take your vacuum pot apart.
If you break it, you're not out much since you were going to replace the whole unit to begin with.
If you're successful in getting the vacuum pot apart without breaking anything -and- are willing to wait the 3-4 weeks for funds to clear and parts to inch their way through Russian/American customs, the quality of the Vanos-BMW kit is stellar.
Use a little silicon grease on the tiny o-ring that runs the pot and a little more around the bottom of the vacuum diaphram that sits at the bottom in a channel and you should have a working DISA Valve in no time (other than the 3-4 week wait).
Make double sure you squeeze the pot top with the base squarely on reassembly and that the small vacuum tube is properly aligned before you put enough pressure to snap the top back into the base.

Is the disa unit the cause of vacuum leaks then?
