ZF trans Clutch issue

I recently swapped a ZF transmission into my 95 325i after blowing second gear. Prior to the swap I had no clutch issues but as soon as I finished the swap I got horrible clutch slip. After bleeding the original 325 trans master cylinder the clutch felt a little better but still slipped under load. I can normally drive the car but clutch kicks or downshift accelerations just make the clutch slip. Has anyone had any experience with this previously or can recommend something to fix this?

What did you use for clutch parts? It sounds as though the clutch is not engaging fully. Being right after you swapped the transmission I would suspect some part incompatibility. You likely don't have enough pedal free travel, and the clutch engagement point is really high. There are a couple things you could do but more information would be helpful.

What he said and did you put the throw out bearing back in correctly. I've seen people just put it on over the spline resting on the fork instead of attaching it.

The clutch engages fine. There’s only issues during harsh acceleration and clutch kicks

My friend just did a manual swap on his 328i and he had clutch issues galore. First it wouldn't bleed, then it bled but it wouldn't shift into gear while running. Then it would shift into gear but the clutch was still engaging even with the pedal pushed all the way in. He ended up having to modify the length of the slave cylinder rod to fix it
