    Question about m50nv turbo build.

    Despite my low post count, I have spent countless hours reading this site. At this point, almost too much, and it's all kinda run together. To my question... I have a m50b25 block that has been bored over to 84.5mm, 8.8:1 weisco pistons (ke115m845), and was planning on using the stock crank. Now I am getting curious about crankshaft selection. I see that the m52b28 crank is forged, and often used for stroker builds. But, if I use 135mm forged rods the stroke will stay the same right? Giving me all forged internals? My build goal is 600 whp, so the idea of forged internals is appealing. Also, if I am correct about the m52 crank, if someone on here has one for sale let me know.

    That’s not going to work. The height of the pistons has to match the rod length and stroke. If you increase the stroke without also decreasing the rod length or piston height the pistons will come out the top of the block. If you want more stroke you will need to get different pistons. The only other option would be to get 130mm rods. There are some chinease 130mm rods for an m20 on eBay if you want to roll the dice on quality. The compression will also change from this but I would need to do the math on it.

    Thanks for the input. I'll just stick with the stock m50 crank and get some eagle rods.
