Ticking noise, gets faster while accelerating.

This is my daily driver so i don't know how concerned i should be about this noise it's pretty new only started hearing it about two weeks ago. I really have no clue what it could be, i've heard it could be the vanos or the lifters. I hear it when idle and then as i accelerate as it gets faster. I don't drift it, launch it, etc. i drive it pretty economically, and i occasionally give it a generous pull. Any advice would be nice, also looking to get a diagnostic just to see what i should be replacing on the car in the future so if anybody knows any good Euro shops around Tacoma/Seattle/Puyallup area please lmk. Thanks.

Hello - I would suggest pulling the codes during the diagnostic - there will likely be stored codes, so you'll get a really good idea as to where the issues are coming from. Hope this helps you out a bit. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Check and re-torque all of your spark plugs. A loose plug will make the sound you're describing.

Low on oil perhaps? Start with the simple things.

Also an exhaust leak near the manifolds or downpipe connection can sound like a tick. Check that and spark plugs like was mentioned first.
