free oil change funnel

I've been doing this for years. Do other people do this or am I a lone genius?

I pour the first third of the one quart bottle into the oil filter housing, then carefully empty it into the oil filler. After that I cut the bottom off of the bottle and thread it into the oil filler to serve as a funnel for the 5 quart jug.

No I just use a large neck funnel

Everybody does that. You may simply have been the last person to find out. ................ Seriously, I just got smart enough to buy the 5-quart, and will try that idea.

That's a small target I use a large funnel to provide a safe buffer for spills

I use a 2 litre coke bottle. Has a big enough opening that it's hard to miss. Though I have still missed!
