This summer, I got my M3 back from a shop after they had it for over six months.

The washer fluid tank was empty and the windshield was so filthy, it was dangerous to drive, so I filled it with a jug of water on the side of the road.

Last night, I took the car out for a spin for the first time in 6-7 weeks.

It was about 35* up here in the Colorado Rockies, and I remembered there was just plain water in the reservoir, so I decided to just spray it all out while I was driving.

Just as I was getting to the end of the tank, the wipers seized up at the upmost position.

I checked fuse 30 and 44, both were good.

Is it safe to just assume I burned out the wiper motor, or is there something else I should check before dropping a hundo on something that might not even be the problem?
