I have a set of oem staggered contours that came on my car. I had them refinished at rimpro (http://www.rimpro.com/services.html#refinishing) for $720, but soon after took them off when I picked up a set of ltw's (which I also had rimpro refinish). I like the look of the contours and would occasionally put them back on, but they've been sitting in storage now for a year so I'm thinking it's time to move them on to someone else. Wrapped in like new Sumitomo HTR Z II. Wheels are perfect - no nicks, scratches, or curb rash. What are these worth and where's the best place to list them?
$400-800. sounds like your set is above average, but market will dictate what you could actually get for them in our region. We aren't too far from hibernation season, so that will affect the price too.
I see them around here for like $300-$400 a set on Facebook.
Thanks guys. I'll throw them up on CL and see if I get any bites. Otherwise I'll wait until Spring.
I'd list them here on the classifieds. You'll get far more here - from a real enthusiast who is looking to restore their M3 back to showroom new condition - than you would on CL from some kid with a 318 he wants to put M3 rimz on to match the M3 bumber cover and badges he got on ebay. And this would be project time for an enthusiast who is just parking his car for the winter.
