All my opinion, of course. Other than the censoring of critical posts, which they did to me so I know. I don't post there any more, I think it's wrong won't be any part of it any more.
I can't put it in, so I'm looking at close to $1500. Then, what's next? How many thousands to spend before I can afford to fix the driver's seat?
It has a lot of excellent condition parts, though.
pretty cheap e21! If you have the means to repair the front lol

Nice E21 just popped up. Looks like a crack free, or minimal crack dash. Recaro seats look good too! Not sure if its a true Sport though.

I found this 1979 320i yesterday on Craigslist in my area: https://yakima.craigslist.org/cto/d/...796831888.html
I'm considering purchasing it but wanted to hear some of your thoughts and opinions. This might potentially be my first BMW vehicle purchase. I contacted the owner of this vintage 320i today and went to check it out. I took a liking to the aesthetics and classicality of the vehicle, it also sounded great upon startup of the engine. The car has some flaws and needs a new paint job but I think it is reasonably priced with all things considered. I wanted to test drive it but the owner said the tie rod needed a bolt as he had just added a spacer for the aftermarket wheels. He told me he would replace the bolt tomorrow so I can take it for a test drive. I don't know much about these cars so any advice would be appreciated. Would this be a good first BMW to drive and own? Thanks!

You can find more for the price.
I would pass on that one. Ask him how much he'd knock off the price if you let him keep those 16 inch wheels.79 BMW 320i - $3950 (Yakima) I'm asking $3,950 and firm for now but open to reasonable offers, no low balls.
Agreed these cars need a through going thru. What I'm surprised about is how many people buy cars and dont have a mechanic run thru car via diagnostic so they know what they are getting, further with used cars-engine and transmission rebuild is usually best if they have not been redone recently.

Wow, this would be my preferred color combination! However I'd rather have an automatic. Looks good. You have 15 hours to get to NC and test drive it!

1979 pre-facelift, 2.0 liter, 4 speed. But has the post-facelift type outside mirrors.

The wheels alone would cause me to run away.

Honestly it would grow on me fast. Browns like that are starting to come back (slowly) too. Original color but I am assuming it's not original paint. Looks too good
