Curious about this one. If its 100% complete it could be lucrative from the transmission alone.
It says automatic
Missed that... price makes way more sense now.
Anyone know anything about these cars?
Hardy and Beck turbo charged 320i

That's been on the San Francisco Craigslist, I've posted a link to it before.
This ad seems identical to the previous ad that was up on Ebay and posted to BAT. Do you recall how much they were asking on CL?
Yes I think that's the same price it was on CL, $8,977. Also I think we had said it had sold maybe 6 months earlier for $6900, and someone is trying to flip it, sell it for more without having made any changes.

There is an article in the 1979 Car and Driver magazine, that I still have, on the Hardy and Beck BMW's. I don't have a scanner at home, but maybe I can scan it later elsewhere and upload it. It says they used some Alpina parts, and some of their own custom parts. But mostly suspension and handling modifications. They did not mention any turbos. It says they fitted rear suspension mods that gave you adjustable rear ride height. "The 320i and 630CSi have heim-jointed five-setting adjustable rear bars so understeer/oversteer can be adjusted. Rear ride height is adjustable at the Bilstein strut."
And it says the engines were stock. There were 320, 530 and 630 with stock engines, suspension mods and seats. That's about it.
I think I have one of their rear sways sitting in my garage...it's a ridiculous diameter compared to stock and has adjustable heim joints. Couple that with adjustable billies and you'd definitely have better than stock suspension. The turbo on that should be one of the California legal ones if they smogged it, no idea if that's a H&B thing though

Hi, Currently on the hunt... appreciate the adds to the thread.
Decided to end my constant cycle of finding faster and more expensive machines and go back to my roots (I started with Escort Mk 1’s and 2’s in England).
I’m no mechanic but have got my hands dirty in the past and thankfully it’ll be a second car.
I’m based in LA and reached out to the owner of the white one in Berkeley but no response thus far.
Anyone local to Burbank that might not minds looking over a car with me?

Youre in the right area for finding a good E21. Im sure someone here will be able to help. I had a few folks guide me on my first purchase from this very group. The collection of folks here are great.
1983 320iS on Copart

*Looks* to be complete iS with front spoiler, steering wheel, and seats. Cannot confirm LSD.
I got my parts car from copart awhile back, but I knew to watch for it and it was local. Bidding costs + shipping would be prohibitively expensive for me but maybe for someone... Id much rather these go to the e21 crowd over the 2002 guys!!

I see it has a buy it now option of $850
Want it Today ? $850 USDMake Offer or Buy It Now
Yea I see that too. Note there will be bidding fees, broker fees, and shipping fees. So a $850 vehicle will be closer to $1100 out the door at copart... and then shipping...

Another Bay Area sports model from BoxingChump. thoughts on this one? I love the blue vinyl and that its a sports model. Seems to have gotten a lot of love from the owner.
Okieflats posted the white 320i in Berkeley on #16. Appreciate any more feedback... talking to owner.

Best buy on an E21 that I have seen in a long time...surprised that the car is not already sold.
Any issues with that car are only slight and able to be worked out in a short time. True sports models in good condition are rare.
Spotted this bbs chin spoiler on atl Craigslist. I'm not well versed on e21 parts pricing and availability so I am not sure if it's worth a Damn but here it is.

Already at a pretty impressive price. At least super clean E21's are sky rocketing.

This looks like a nice 323 though it has too few images. What's the fourth one?
