Great for Copart... just wish bidding was more accessible. I guess it keeps interested buyers only but still...

I think that 323 is on coilovers too

That's good to know.. do you know if Copart expects the car to ship immediately? If not someone could save on shipping by it not being a priority. Unfortunately this one has already moved past affordable to me in TX, bt for someone in California, $1850 is a steal

Last I saw was 1825 so unless it sold for $25 more it was under 1900. I wanted to spend less than 2500, half of that would be shipping.

Sight unseen or not, it's a good deal!

This is a pretty nifty ‘77, looks like they’d send it to a happy legion home - I’d hate to see it scavenged for 2002 parts

From what I gather from the posts this was a Kit Car assembled in Portugal-Authentic BMW Licensees , when BMW obviously was rebuilding in WG.

I'd love that 1600. But I'm sure CA would never allow it.

Rare Station wagon with nearly 600 comments it seems throwing M Tek in has made a lot people want it 1 of 182 or so made and shipped to the US in 2003.

Nothing on Bring A Trailer makes sense anymore... in fact, like Ive said in the past,... nothing in Bring A Trailer is even worth bringing a trailer for anymore either... just show up and drive it home.

...wish they would bring back the barn finds and project cars back in but that would affect their business's bottomline.

Stancing is for drivers trapped in an abusive relationship of their own lives.

Apparently, after 1967 they get 'troublesome' with imports.
    https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/de.../howto/htvr09a

    https://www.arb.ca.gov/html/master_f...t_cars_faq.htm

1967 model year vehicles and older: no modifications and testing are required to register the vehicle in California.
1968 model year to 1974 model year vehicles: California does not recommend the purchase or importation of these years of NON-USA vehicles, even if currently registered in another state. These vehicles require compliance with USEPA requirements in effect on the specific date of 11/15/1972. This provision when written, was considered by the California legislature as a gradual phase-out of very dirty "non-collectable" types of imports, as this specific requirement was understood to become increasingly difficult to meet. Today, this requirement, while not impossible to meet, would require testing expenses and modifications that far exceed most vehicles value and would make little sense from a collectors standpoint to attempt. Some limited exemptions apply to individuals moving to California with vehicles of these years registered in their home state for at least a year before moving to California. Contact us for more information.

I see, yet USEPA requirements not as tough as CARB requirements. It seems to me this is non sense to stop people from buying older cars and fixing them up.

    That's EXACTLY what it is.

Because, as we all know, everyone's life is hanging on a thread whether you drive an old car or not.

Better to buy a new production car every three years. Because production has zero 'carbon footprint'.

The HC's,NOX, and CO's still exist in new cars as well, they just get an exemption for a few years, then they are classified as "Gross Polluters", after the exemption is over for what ever sense that makes.

I didnt see that, I assumed it sold,, upon checking further.

High Bid USD $13,750 (Reserve Not Met)
Auction Ended Thursday, March 14 at 11:21am
    Bids 31

Wow even more , plus shipping cost and import fee.

This one may be offered again. The seller should have listed it at reserve price, seems to me he wasted bidders time.
