I figured instead of polluting the front page with a new topic for every ad I find interesting, I could compile them here.
First on deck is this gem on BAT. I think we're rounding the hump or slump of the E21 price. Not that long ago this may have only fetched $4000.

I like the thread idea, sounds like the non-affiliated seller thread they have over at MyE28. Maybe we should include it in the sticky?

Selfishly I just find so many listings I want to bring forward and talka bout, but at the same time I dont want to clutter the front page. This gives me a license to spam.. err contribute in a contained area
$14,000!!! Jeez. Never would have thought. That has to be a record high for a M10, non sports package e21 right?
Yeah its exciting to see the forgotten 3 gain some popularity. Maybe some of you would disagree, but yeah I do remember when I bought my e21 some 5 years ago I just missed out on buying a one owner grandma car, similar to the one on BAT for 3k... Seems those days are long gone.
Nice,, Color is same as mine originally , as they get fewer and fewer the price will go up supply and demand.

edit: nevermind sold before i could post

Im curious what thoughts are on this? I feel like its just missing too much for the price but Im not familiar with Zender kits, perhaps there is more value than meets the eye? Has anyone looked at it? No title. No engine. Ive heard its not too difficult getting a missing title resolved in some states but thats uncharted territory for me, personally.
Im still wishing I was able to grab that black 323i that went for sale here a few months back.
I see it as a parts car. The body and interior are both rough. I'm not an expert on the 323i, but I was not aware they were available with an automatic transmission. If this really is a 323i (hard to tell with no engine and the photos don't show rear disc brakes) the it would be a good donor car for the front sub-frame, rear end and brakes, etc., to somebody to do an M20 conversion. The bumpers also look decent enough and the headlight wipers are a plus, even though it means a lot of work to get them functioning. As to the Zender kit, that's a matter of personal preference. They're an acquired 80's taste but IMHO they didn't age very well.
Meh. Def missing too much for the price IMHO. Bumpers do look good, and the body looks pretty straight, nice color, sport steering wheel, headlight wipers all cool.
Scoring an engine and trans and all the bits to convert from auto, bleh.
No sign of an exhaust system.. Complete system cost me $900 or so including all the brackets and stuff depending on what, if anything, is missing there.
But hey at least it comes with a bathroom exhaust fan in the trunk.
title status: missing, Motor missing
transmission: automatic
Concur too much missing for the price.

in addition to posting a hot link why don't you post a screen shot of the ad. as the ads are removed from online, the conversation about the ad as well as the price/vehicle becomes worthless as a comparison tool.

Pretty partial to this one since its the same year and paint as my own. Mine has a navy interior so its interesting seeing beige. Still not sure if these new prices are the real deal or not. Given what some have gone for, this seems like a pretty fair price.
Then there's this 2-owner car...

Here's a good buy on an IS
1982 BMW 320I (E21) - $4800 (berkeley)
I have a 1982 320i that has been in the family since 1986. I am the second owner. This 320i is equipped with a 1.8L four-cylinder and a 5-speed manual transmission. The first owner was a college student. When I purchased the car it had just 20,000 in four years. I am selling the car to make room for a van that I can use for camping and skiing trips. This car has been ultra reliable and now that the engine has been rebuilt it couldn't run smoother. It has beautiful Recaro seats and the interior and headliner are clean. The car has a great repaint job and a rebuilt engine, a rebuilt front end, and many new and rebuilt accessories.
The car runs and looks great. If you know 320i's, you'll appreciate that the little details - manual sun roof, electric side mirrors, back up lights, dash lighting, stereo system, climate control system - all work well.
I am asking $4,800 for the car. Please do not and ask me whats the lowest ill go. I'm not looking to sell this car to just anybody, only serious buyers who will appreciate the car. I am not in a hurry to sell.

Thats an exceptional find. 4800 is a deal.
The seats aren't tore up; and look like they have the original vinyl. Usually at this age with normal use the vinyl would be torn and foam missing from the bolsters.
white e21 is a nice deal. somebody....
1991 318 IS is at the P&P in San Jose. It should have sport seats which work well in an e21 with the perches removed. Or they can be re-sold to e30 owner. And the M42, etc.

That sport has different door panels to my sport. I have the black with grey inserts that I've seen on other sports. Was that a year thing or a model thing? My non-sport black interior looks like that white car.

The Sport IS could come with either all vinyl, or cloth and vinyl. So it is legit as far as I'm concerned and relatively unmolested, and appears to have been kept garaged most of it's life. It is better than what I have, which was left outside in the rain and got some rust. If your IS has cloth inserts on the door panels I would think your rear seat would have cloth on the top surface.
That's correct, my IS has cloth rear seat surface. Cool, I learn new stuff every day
