"This crankshaft has been checked and polished...see photo of report.Ready for your E30 M3 or for your M10 if you want to stroke it.
This crankshaft came out of a motor that was built for a E21, but never installed, and ultimately, broken back down. Included for those people looking to stroke their M10, are some custom pistons (for E21 head),rods, bearings, front cover customized to facilitate the crankshaft.
I also have a used complete Metric Mechanic M10 2.0 head available for $700
Other 2002 parts, motors, trim pieces, interior bits, etc. also available. "

The e21 will do well. No-one can afford Porsches or 2002's anymore.
So far its topped off at $5,000.

Ive watched this car.. it's been up and down a few times. I'd love to throw my baby six in it....

A friend of mine drove this over the weekend.. He said it's "rougher than it appears".. "lots of rust".. "the seat rails werent working. it drove awful. it was not well maintained. needed a lot of work".. "trunk was leaking madly" (apparently around the trunk gasket and tail light seals)
he also mentioned an "inflator, like a blood pressure cuff" in the front seats? I've never heard of anything like that in stock seats.
no mention of an LSD.

I haven't followed that one too much. 50k miles is impressive however.

Any ideas where the rust is located? usual suspects or?
As for that BAT thread. I honestly didnt give it a full glance, but my goodness is that thing mint. I really cant put my finger on where it will go. Wish it was a sport package...
Mine is like that, my '81 silver car. The gasket is attached to rusty metal. The edge of the metal the gasket attaches to is very rusty, but mainly just in one area up near where the trunk lid hinge is. But also, and it lets in a lot more water, is the channel the water is supposed to run off in, has a hole rusted completely through it.. "trunk was leaking madly"
I legitimately think this could go as high as 20k but likely it's about to soften up and will land 14-16k.

I asked my buddy for clarification, he said the trunk rust was all he needed to see and didn't look closely for it elsewhere. He said it was "around the tail lights, above the rear wheel well area of the trunk where the carpet is as it leaked heavily there, and the spare tire well area"

I really think that e21 was one of a kind at this year. In terms of it's shape and miles. Still never would have expected 25k. Wild.
