Hmm. I never realized 205/60-13 tires were "correct" for "S-Pak"s

These don't look original but the price seems right.
Edit: I believe these have shown up a few times so NVM..

I still say those are undervalued. Not complaining, but a bit of reassembly and steam cleaning would make them very nice

He's not too keen on moving the parts either it seems. I would like to find tools for my sport tool box but everyone wants way too much...
In other news, another E21 showed up on BAT. Curious... how is the auto transmission for this platform?

I bought the tan automatic today. It's going to replace a '79 diesel Rabbit of the same color combination, and I wonder if the lady at the security gate will notice I have a new car.
she probably doesn't want to hurt your feelings. glide on..........
Very nice

Thanks, Randy. Ever since I assembled a Crusher Joe BMW model I've loved the grill / hood design of this series.
So the e21 is treking back to Cali or are you located in TX?
I'm picking it up in ATL - the guy moved there - and driving back to San Francisco.
I see, that was already in the BAT thread. That sounds like a hell of a drive but pretty memorable.
Id love to see photos of the Rabbit alongside the E21 when you get it in!
congrats on the win. Its fun watching the BAT threads from here, even more fun when they come over to talk about it.
Highway 1.JPGThere's a lot of good places to drive it, up the coast. And there are other e21's around there. I've seen one a few times in Petaluma, that same color too. And this one parked on Hwy 1 in Tomales, it was even captured on Google Street view 2016. I've posted this pic before, but it's funny Google maps shows where an e21 is always parked, the owner must live right there. The drive from Point Reyes to Bodega Bay is very nice, especially in and e21. Very winding.

I've started checking out good drives - will hit the southern Appalachians north of Atlanta and go to Lexington, then over to San Antonio.

Thanks, Randy. I figure my car will be between level 4 and 3 on Hagerty's scale. Some dents, rust spots, marks on the seats and cracks in the dash but otherwise clean. Even if it's value is at the bottom, I had so much knowledge going into this auction I figured even $1000 extra was worth it.

Gonna take a look at this Baby 6 Baur in Houston tomorrow. A lot of unknowns. Could very well be a parts car but hopefully I can turn it in to a project. It's been sitting for 20 years
Edit; don't think the link works. I'll try to get pics tomorrow.passenger side.jpg
